The Brief: To create a recipe for hot chocolate in the size and format for the They Draw & Cook website and publications.

Role: Graphic designer and illustrator responsible for concept, design, and implementation of all lettering and illustration.

Tools Used: Procreate app, iPad Pro, Apple pencil.

As part of an illustration-based Facebook Group called Illostories, I created an illustrated hot chocolate recipe to go with the winter theme of the month of January. I intentionally chose the size for the The They Draw & Cook website so I could also submit to their site. This recipe has the perfect amount of spice and chocolate to warm you up on a cold day, and I loved being able to incorporate illustrated ingredients and Aztec-inspired patterns and shapes in the background to give it a cohesive and illustrated feel. This was all created digitally using an Apple pencil.
