A fun illustrated recipe for cocktails containing flowers with hand-drawn lettering and a floral twist.

The Brief: To create an illustration incorporating edible flowers in the size and format for the They Draw & Cook website and publications for their Edible Flowers global challenge.

Role: Graphic designer and illustrator responsible for concept, design, and implementation of all lettering and illustration.

Tools Used: Procreate app, iPad Pro, Apple pencil.

The They Draw & Cook website group have quarterly Hand-Picked challenges, and the one for March 2020 was for edible flowers. When I think of edible flowers, I go right to cocktails with floral notes and pretty garnishes, so I researched and found some tasty cocktail concoctions incorporating flowers or floral ingredients. I opted for a darker background to let the rims of the glasses shine through, almost like a chalkboard effect. This was all created digitally on an iPad on Procreate using an Apple pencil.
