The Brief: To create a series of illustrations for the month of October for both Inktober and the They Draw and Cook October 2020 prompt list.

Role: Graphic designer and illustrator responsible for concept, design, and implementation of all lettering and illustration.

Tools Used: Procreate app, iPad Pro, Apple pencil.

For the month of October, there is usually a fun challenge called Inktober by Jake Parker, which promotes creating a new illustration each day during October and sharing the results on social media. In conjunction with October 2020, They Draw & Cook also posted a prompt list that involved foods and kitchen ware, so I decided to do my October project using their prompts. The result was a fun series: food personal ads. I personified each food or item from the prompt list and decided to picture them all with some callouts of likes/dislikes, personality traits, and other funny text to show them similar to a personal ad.
