Role: illustrator and lettering artist responsible for implementation of all lettering and illustration for three postcards, with direction and feedback from the Ministry of Stories staff.

Tools Used: Procreate app, iPad Pro, Photoshop, Apple pencil.

The Ministry of Stories is a writing program for children in the Hoxton area of London. As a fun way to visualize their student’s writings about the future of the Hoxton neighborhood, this charity reached out to illustrators to create artwork based on the children’s ideas to create a postcard pack called The Time Traveller’s Guide to Hoxton. I was able to meet with the students and discuss their ideas with them, and then create imagery based on their brainstorming sessions about three different locations within Hoxton. The ideas were for the students to visualize these everyday locations in the neighborhood years in the future and come up with innovative and fun new ideas. I created illustrations for the Hoxton Library, Hoxton Hall performing arts venue, and Hoxton Gardens community outdoor space. In addition to other illustrators who visualized additional locations in the Hoxton area, these were printed using the riso printing process and produced as postcard packs, with each illustration paired with student writing on the back.
