The Brief: To create an illustration on festive foods for They Draw and Cook Play along challenge.
Role: Illustrator responsible for concept, design, and implementation of all lettering and illustration.
Tools Used: Procreate app, iPad Pro, Apple pencil.
Created as a personal project to a prompt from the They Draw and Cook website, this holiday-themed festive illustration was a fun way to play with holiday decoration and a traditional Christmas color palette, while also adding in some fun holiday puns. The hand-drawn red lettering is a pun on the carol “Oh Christmas Tree” and the holiday foods are all sweets that feature around the holidays. I’ve made all the treats having faces and added some extra holiday puns in the speech bubbles.
