The Brief: To create a recipe incorporating peanut butter in the size and format for the They Draw & Cook website and publications.

Role: Graphic designer and illustrator responsible for concept, design, and implementation of all lettering and illustration.

Tools Used: Procreate app, iPad Pro, Apple pencil.

The They Draw & Cook website put forth a project to create a recipe incorporating peanut butter for a recent campaign. I love this easy gluten (and dairy) free peanut butter cookie recipe and wanted to create a cute digitally illustrated recipe for the site. Color-wise I chose warm colors to fit with the peanut-butter theme, and I wanted to make sure that there were fun characters walking someone through the recipe. Since it’s a simple recipe, it allowed for more room for fun illustrations. This was all created digitally using an Apple pencil, but really was like drawing by hand as I sat on the couch giggling over the cute peanut characters and ingredients. A fun project all around!
