A seasonal produce editorial illustration for the May/June 2023 issue of Edible Reno-Tahoe featuring the fruits and vegetables that are in season.

The Brief: To create a single image that includes seasonal fruits and vegetables that are in season in the Reno-Tahoe region in May and June for use as an editorial illustration for the printed magazine and website.

Role: illustrator responsible for illustration, including sketch concept and implementation

Tools Used: Procreate app, iPad Pro, Photoshop, Apple pencil, Photoshop.

The Edible Reno-Tahoe magazine asked me to create a food editorial illustration featuring seasonal fruits and vegetables that are local and in-season in the May/June timeframe in the Reno-Tahoe region. They gave me freedom in how I’d like to depict the produce, so I chose to include fruit illustrations and vegetable illustrations in a wicker basket. This illustration featured in the May-June “Cooks 2023” issue of the magazine, both in print and online. You can read digital editions of the magazine on their website.
